Late night services will also operate after New Year’s festivities in Dublin city centre, approximately one hour later than pre-Christmas late night services, with full details available on the Iarnród Éireann website www.irishrail.ie and app (note for journeys departing after midnight on journey planner, they will be displayed on the next date: e.g. 00:30 on night of Thursday 18th will be displayed on Friday 19th).
Fares will be charged at normal rates, meaning customers can use Leapcard and buy cash fares for the best value Christmas travel option.
Furthermore, weekly, monthly and annual season tickets are valid on late night services, so season ticket holders will be able to use the services at no extra charge.
Late night services will have security personnel on board to ensure customer safety.
