An Garda Síochána Kildare/Carlow has announced that its Christmas Road Safety Enforcement Campaign is now underway.

Over the coming weeks, there will be increased Garda patrols and mandatory checkpoints across Kildare and Carlow as gardaí work to keep our roads and communities safer.

The following will be targeted by Gardaí:

  • Drink and Drug Driving

  • Speeding

  • Failure to wear seatbelts

  • Mobile phone and distracted driving

  • Careless - Dangerous Driving and Dangerous Overtaking.

Increased Garda Presence

Motorists can expect both high-visibility and targeted checkpoints across the division as Gardaí work to reduce serious collisions and save lives.

Crime Prevention

With the holiday season approaching, Gardaí are also stepping up patrols to deter property theft and support community safety.
