McAuley Place in Naas is the venue this Saturday night 22 November for a night of storytelling, nostalgia and music.

Hosted by retired teacher Francis (Frank) T Kirke 'A Captive Audience' presents a programme of semi biographical storytelling and popular recitations from Frank, original songs from James Tooher, who was a teaching colleague of Frank and traditional Scottish and Irish piping from Alex Hughes, a talented young musician  who was introduced to the art of piping by Frank when he was a pupil at Patrician Primary School in Newbridge.

During his time teaching in Newbridge, Frank established the Patrician Pipe Band and was responsible for introducing many, many, children to pipe and brass music and drumming.

The fourth member of the team is stage manager Cormac O' Shea, who is also a teacher in Patrician Primary school.

In 'Captive Audience' Frank draws from his own teaching and acting career and brings his stories to life in his own inimitable style.

Tickets for the show which takes place in McAuley Place this Saturday 22 November at 7.30pm are available from www.moattheatre.com or on the door on the night.

It all promises to be "a bit of craic le cunamh De," according to Frank.
