A planning application has been submitted for a €930,000 redevelopment of sports facilities at Blackwood, Brockagh and Cooleragh West, Co. Kildare.
The proposal, lodged by Coill Dubh Hurling Club, outlines significant upgrades to the club’s pitches, lighting and access infrastructure.
The application seeks “permission for the relocation of [the] existing main hurling pitch.” Plans also include “new all-weather lighting with six no. 22m high lights around [the] main pitch.”
A new training facility forms part of the project, with documents stating the development would provide “[a] new all-weather training pitch with two no. new hurling walls… with 6 no. 9m all-weather lights.”
Access to the improved facilities would be via Brockagh Road, with the application detailing “access road and entrance… and all associated site works.”
If approved, the project would deliver modernised, all-weather facilities for Coill Dubh Hurling Club, including improved lighting, training infrastructure and a redesigned main pitch.
