Woman is 'terrified' of partner just out of prison, Kildare court told

A woman told Naas District Court that her partner’s anger is making her terrified.

She told Judge Miriam Walsh that the man had just been released from prison and he is aggressive towards her, especially when he is under the influence of drugs and drink.

She said she was concerned for the safety of herself and her child and “his anger is making me terrified.”

The woman was granted a protection order by the court. Judge Walsh said the order would be served by the gardaí and the man will be allowed to communicate with her by text or email.

The man was not present or represented and the case was adjourned.
