Gardaí are investigating the theft of car from one North Kildare town.

When asked by the Leinster Leader about this crime, a garda spokesperson responded: "Gardaí are investigating an incident of unauthorised taking of a vehicle that occurred in Celbridge, County Kildare between the hours of 11.30pm on Wednesday, October 15 last and 7.30am on Thursday, October 16 last."

The spokesperson further said that the investigation ongoing.

In addition, Garda Lenny Donnellan told KFM on Wednesday, October 22 last that the stolen car was a silver Mitsubishi Mirage with the following registration plate: '132-D-22831'.

He also called on anyone with information relating to this incident to contact Celbridge Garda Station on 01 628 8222.
