The construction of a drive-thru food facility has been proposed for one County Kildare petrol filling station.

A planning permission which was submitted to Kildare County Council (KCC) shows that Grayhawk Limited intends to construct the facility at the Monread Fare Petrol Filling Station, which is located on the Monread Road in Naas. According to the business information website SoloCheck.ie, Grayhawk Ltd may also trade as Monread Fare and was officially established on 2016.

The description of the application notes that the company is seeking permission from KCC for the construction of a single storey extension (48 square metres) to the existing service station building, in order to accommodate the facility (which would include a hatch).

This new facility would be linked to existing food offers in the building.

Grayhawk Ltd is also seeking permission from KCC for the reconfiguration of the internal layout of the existing retail building in order to accommodate the drive-thru facility.

The date received on the application is listed as October 22 last.

The submission-by and due dates are listed as November 25, 2025 and December 16, 2025.

SoloCheck.ie also shows that Grayhawk Ltd / Monread Fare specialises in the "activities of holding companies" and has a registered address listed as Unit 2, Hopkins House, Drogheda Street, Monasterevin in County Kildare.
