A recently launched website aims to make circular living more accessible for people living in County Kildare.

Launched by the Minister of State with responsibility for the Circular Economy, Alan Dillon TD, on September 30 last, Circular.ie aims to make circular living simple, accessible, and rewarding for those living in Kildare.

It was developed by The Rediscovery Centre, in collaboration with the Department of Climate, Energy and Environment, and offers tools and advice for anyone in Kildare looking to live more sustainably.

Welcoming the launch of Circular.ie, Minister Dillon TD said: "I’m delighted to officially launch Circular.ie,  Ireland’s national platform for the circular economy.

"Driving engagement through effective communication is paramount to delivering real change and is a key objective of the Circular Economy Strategy, which I have launched for public consultation."

He added: "Going beyond digital communications, this programme supports communities across Ireland to embrace the opportunities of circular living, increase engagement and share their impact."

In addition, the CEO of The Rediscovery Centre, Claire Downey, said: "Circular living is all around us; our mapping has identified brilliant initiatives all across the country and a growing interest from communities to get more involved."

She also claimed that Circular.ie is about "meeting people where they are at and providing practical steps and support for them to get started or go that bit further".
