A garda investigation has been launched after a "large quantity" of vape products were stolen from a County Kildare shop.

The crime was highlighted by Garda Marc Connolly when he appeared as a guest on KFM radio station yesterday (October 1 last) during one of its programmes.

He explained that the incident took place at a shop, which sells vape products and is located on Duke Street in Athy, on September 26 last.

Gda Connolly added that a quantity of cash was also stolen during the course of the incident.

He added: "Of interest to us [referring to An Garda Síochána] is a black Audi A4 car with a partial number plate of '132-MN'. This vehicle was observed leaving the scene and driving in the direction of the Kilkenny Road."
