A number of power tools were stolen from sheds located in one County Kildare region.

The incident was discussed on a KFM radio programme yesterday morning (September 17 last), which featured one Garda Aidan McGuane as a guest.

Gda McGuane explained that the incident took place sometime between 6pm on Tuesday, September 9 last and 11am on Wednesday, September 10 last.

He told host Clem Ryan that a number of sheds on a farmland in the Rathmore West area were broken into by the perpetrator(s). 

According to Gda McGuane, some power tools, including a chainsaw and a drill, were stolen.

He also said that gardaí are currently reviewing CCTV footage in relation to this crime.

Gda McGuane concluded by urging anyone with information relating to this incident to contact Naas Garda Station on 045 884 300.

When asked by the Leinster Leader about the crime, a garda spokesperson responded: "Gardaí received report of an incident of burglary that occurred in the early hours of September 10, 2025 in the Rathmore West area of Naas, County Kildare."

The spokesperson added: "Investigations are ongoing."
