A power outage has been reported near one County Kildare region this morning (September 9).

According to the Electricity Supply Board (ESB), it is estimated that 118 customers are currently affected by the outage, which was reported near Athy.

Specifically, the outage has been reported between Luggacurren and Ballintubbert in County Laois, but is understood that it is also affecting a section of Athy.

The ESB said that the outage was first reported at around 5.49am this morning, and that the outage is expected to be repaired by 2pm this afternoon.

"We apologise for the loss of supply," the ESB added. "We are currently working to repair a fault affecting your premises and will restore power as quickly as possible."
