Well known Kildare chocolate retailer wants to convert a premises to a residence

A planning application has been made by a well-known retailer to create a dwelling in Naas town centre.

Butlers Chocolates is seeking approval to remove an existing single storey shed to the rear and the construction of a new two storey detached one bedroom dwelling with a roof terrace on the first floor. 

The premises, at 5 North Main Street, is described as a protected structure in the application to Kildare County Council.

It dates back to circa 1880 and was formerly a clothing store, operated by Naas woman Kate Conway.
