The Northern Ring Road in Blessington is to be progressed.
According to Deputy Edward Timmins agreement has now been reached between the developer and the Council to move ahead with construction.
“I have had discussions with officials of Wicklow County Council and am happy that significant progress has been made on the construction of this section of road. Agreement has now been reached between the developer and the council to move ahead with construction. I have lobbied for this project for a number of years,” said the TD.
The purpose-built route will connect the sections of the road between the Naas Road and the industrial estate junction, and between the N81 and the Kilmalum Road on the Kildare side of the town.
