An Electric Vehicle service centre has been proposed for South Kildare, according to a planning permission application currently with Kildare County Council (KCC).

One Tom Steed is seeking permission from KCC to construct the premises at Unit 10, Block F in Athy Business Campus, which is located on the Kilkenny Road in Athy.

Mr Steed intends to construct "a 70 square meter side extension to Industrial Unit 10 to form an Electric Vehicle service centre."

In addition, the applicant is seeking permission from KCC for "ancillary alterations to front and side elevations, surface water to soakaways and all associated site works".

The date received on the application is listed as August 18 last.

The submission-by and due dates are listed as September 21, 2025 and October 12, 2025 respectively.
