A daytime road closure is currently in place on one North Kildare road.
Kildare County Council (KCC) explained: "As part of the Scoil Bhríde Safe Routes to School Scheme, a daytime road closure will be in place on the L5049 - New Road, Straffan outside Scoil Bhríde from Monday, August 18, 2025 to Friday, August 22, 2025 to facilitate road resurfacing works.
"Diversionary routes will be clearly signposted, as agreed with the council and An Garda Síochána.
"Emergency access and restricted local access will be maintained."
KCC concluded: "Your co-operation is appreciated and apologies for any inconvenience caused."
