Affordable Housing Scheme launched at Pierce Park, Newbridge by Kildare County Council

Homes are located minutes from Newbridge Town Centre and local amenities, with easy access to the M7 & M9 motorways

Kildare County Council is excited to announce the launch of an affordable housing purchase scheme for private buyers at Pierce Park, Newbridge.  The initiative, in partnership with D&P Construction Ltd, aims to provide first-time buyers and other eligible homebuyers with the opportunity to purchase newly built homes at reduced prices. 

The scheme includes six new homes: three 2-bedroom, own-door apartments and three 3-bedroom, own-door duplexes.  These homes are located minutes from Newbridge Town Centre and local amenities, with easy access to the M7 & M9 motorways.  Additionally, Newbridge Train Station, which offers transport links to Dublin City Centre, is located just 200m from Pierce Park. The expected delivery date for these homes is December 2025/January 2026.

Welcoming the launch of the scheme Annette Aspell, Director of Services, Kildare County Council said: “Kildare County Council is delighted to reach this important milestone, in what will be the first affordable housing purchase scheme in Newbridge, providing much needed homes that are being offered at affordable prices for potential home buyers.  Kildare County Council’s aim, under the affordable housing scheme is to provide vital support for home buyers.”

The Affordable Housing Purchase Scheme aims to support first-time buyers, with some exceptions.  Eligible applicants looking to buy a home in Kildare are encouraged to familiarize themselves with the application process and documentation, available online at kildarecoco.ie/AllServices/Housing/AffordableHousing/

The application portal will open at 9am on Wednesday, August 20 and will remain open until 12 Noon on Thursday, September 11.
