More bus stops needed on this Kildare route

A call has been made for bus stops on a local route.

Cllr Veralouise Behan told an Athy Municipal District meeting that while the Local Link service between Athy and Newbridge has opened up parts of south Kildare to the rest of the county, stops are needed to service the Blackditch/Kildoon area.

Cllr Ivan Keatley said residents in the area had contacted him to secure these stops.

Kildare County Council said this will be forwarded to the bus service operator and KCC will “assist in the assessment of the potential stop location.”
