Leas Cathaoirleach Mark Leigh and Cathaoirleach Ivan Keatley
The Athy Municipal District Committee today appointed Councillor Ivan Keatley as Cathaoirleach and Councillor Mark Leigh as Leas Cathaoirleach of the Municipal District Committee, at their annual meeting, which was held in the Council Chamber, Áras Chill Dara.
Late last month, Leixlip's Joe Neville was elected the new Cathaoirleach of Kildare County Council on June 21. The Fine Gael councillor was elected with the support of the Fianna Fáil councillors in the first KCC meeting since the local elections of June 7.
