Gardaí based in County Kildare fined a motorist who was spotted "dangerously whizzing past traffic" yesterday morning (July 15 last).
According to the official Garda Traffic account on X: "While out on patrol of the N7 near Kill, County Kildare at rush-hour this morning, gardaí stopped this driver after he was seen dangerously whizzing past traffic by using the hard shoulder.
"He's been fined €80 and given two points."
The account added: "FYI: We don't set the penalties."
