A planning application has been submitted for a €953k boutique hotel in Naas, Co Kildare, adjacent to The Forge Inn, Naas.
According to Construction Information Services (CIS), planning application number 2560762 has been submitted to Kildare County Council for consideration.
The application is in respect of The Forge Inn, 46 South Main Street, Naas, Co Kildare, on behalf of Central Tower Limited under O'Loughlin Architects Limited.

The description of the planning application is as follows: “For alterations to permission previously granted under Pl. Ref 23 579 in the structure to the rear of The Forge Inn, No. 46 South Main Street, Naas, Co. Kildare (Protected Structure RPS. Ref. NS19-186).”
The proposed alterations include: eight bedroom suites on the first & second floors to the rear of The Forge Inn, which was previously permitted as a public bar & staff areas, the bedroom accommodation will be used ancillary to the Forge Bar to form a Boutique Hotel.
All associated site works are included in the plans.
The floor area is 366m2 and the site area is .018ha
A decision date is due from Kildare County Council by September 1 2025
CIS is currently monitoring the local authority for a planning decision.
