Kildare County Council (KCC) has today (July 8) issued an update in relation to works planned for Naas.

According to KCC, it is preparing to carry out ground investigation works on the local road L-2999 (Corban's Lane) and L-5802 (Loch Buí), Murtagh's Corner in Naas

KCC explained: "The ground investigation works will include a staged lane closure on Corban's Lane and Loch Buí and partial closure of the pedestrian section of Corban's Lane.

"Priority Geotechnical Limited has been appointed to carry out these works and they plane to commence on site from July 9, 2025."

KCC continued: "The works cannot start until that date due to the 'School Academic Year Restriction'. O'Connor, Sutton, Cronin will be supervising the site works throughout the duration of the works."

"The works will take approximately four days to complete.

"The roads will not be closed and local access will be facilitated."

KCC concluded: "A traffic management plan will be in place on the L-2999 and L-5802 for the duration of the works."
