The Mayor of the Athy Municipal District (MD) has sought a timeframe for the commission of pedestrian lights on one County Kildare street.
Labour Party councillor Aoife Breslin asked Kildare County Council to provide the timeframe at the latest MD meeting, which was held on Monday, June 16 last.
Her query related to William Street in Athy.
In response, Kildare County Council told Mayor Breslin: "Pedestrian lights on William Street were installed some time ago.
"However, we are awaiting attendance on site by ESB which, recently, is proving to be challenging on a number of our projects."
Kildare County Council added: "The Strategic Projects and Public Realm team will follow up again with the ESB and inform Councillor Breslin once a further update is received."
