A man who appeared before Naas District Court for speeding was told to re-sit the driving test again by the judge.

Paul Haughney, 44, whose address was given as 16 Birch Grove, Ard na Sidhe, Cashel Road, Clonmel, was prosecuted for exceeding the 100 km/h speed on the N7 at Castlewarden South, near Kill, on May 25, 2024.
Sgt Dave Hanrahan told the court that the defendant has 17 previous convictions, including 12 for speeding.
Judge Desmond Zaidan imposed a two year disqualification and a fine of €1,000. He directed that the defendant re-sit the driving test at the end of the disqualification.
