A musical society located near the Kildare-Laois border has released an open call for new members.
The Portarlington Musical Society, which was just set up earlier this year, will host an information night for new members later this week.
According to the group: "We are looking for Over 18s of all abilities and talents to join our society for our upcoming production.
"No matter if you were born to stand out or looking to help backstage, there is going to be a place for everyone!"
The society added: "Come and meet us for and we will be sure to find the perfect role for you!"

The event will be held inside the Parochial Hall in Portarlington (R32 YK42) on Wednesday, June 11, 2025.
It will commence at 7.30pm.
