A reported theft from a vehicle, which was parked at a County Kildare residence, has prompted a garda investigation.
Explaining the situation in a post submitted to the public Facebook page Newbridge Co. Kildare Residents Forum on Wednesday, June 4 last, one Jessica O'Gorman said: "My car was broken into last night in College Farm Court, just a heads up for all the neighbours around to make sure your cars are locked and free of valuables!"
She added: "If anyone has any CCTV of last night or any information, [it] would be really appreciated."
When asked by the Leinster Leader about this particular crime, a garda spokesperson responded: "Gardaí attended the scene following report of a theft from a vehicle at a residential address in Newbridge, County Kildare between the hours of 7pm on June 3, and 8am on June 4, 2025.
"No damage was caused and no items were taken from the vehicle."
The spokesperson concluded by saying that "investigations are ongoing" at present.
