Criminal damage was caused to a car which was parked near a North Kildare pub.

Information surrounding this incident was outlined on a KFM radio programme which aired yesterday morning (June 4 last) and featured Garda Lenny Donnellan of the Kilcock / Carbury Garda Division.

He said that the crime took place in Derrinturn sometime between 9.45pm and 11.55pm on Saturday, May 31 last.

Gda Donnellan explained that the owner of the car, which was parked outside of The Turn Inn, observed that the driver-side window was smashed.

The owner also reported that items of clothing were stolen from their car — this included a DSQUARED2 t-shirt and a black pair of Nike VaporMax runners.

Gda Donnellan concluded by urging anyone with information regarding this crime to contact either Carbury Garda Station on 046 955 3002 or Leixlip Garda Station on 01 666 7800.

When asked by the Leinster Leader about the incident, a garda spokesperson had this to say: "Gardaí attended the scene following report of a theft from a vehicle, at the car park of a premises in Carbury, County, Kildare, that occurred on the evening of Saturday, May 31, 2025.

"Items of clothing are believed to have been taken."

The spokesperson concluded: "Investigations are ongoing."
