There were two patients on trolleys at Naas Hospital today, making it one of the least overcrowded hospitals in the country today.

Connolly Hospital, Blanchardstown also had two people on trolleys. The most overcrowded hospital in the eastern region was St Vincent's Hospital which had 23 people on trolleys followed by Tallaght Hospital (17).

There were no patients on trolleys at Tullamore Hospital or Portlaoise Hospital.

The figures are provided by the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation.
