A number of items were stolen during a daylight burglary which occurred at a home located in County Kildare, according to a garda spokesperson.

When asked by the Leinster Leader about the incident, the spokesperson replied: "Gardaí attended the scene of a burglary that occurred on May 15, 2025 at a property in Newbridge, County Kildare at approximately 1pm.

"A number of items were taken.

"No arrests have been made at this time."

The spokesperson added that "investigations are ongoing" at present.

In addition, the incident was also discussed on KFM yesterday (May 21 last).

Garda Seán O'Mahony of Athy Garda Station told host Clem Ryan that the burglary took place in the Kilbelin Park region of Newbridge.
