Gardaí are investigating after a car in South Kildare was damaged by a fire.
When asked by the Leinster Leader about the crime, a garda spokesperson responded: "Gardaí received reports of an incident of criminal damage by fire that occurred at approximately 1am on May 12, 2025 in the Ballyroe area of Athy, County Kildare.
"A car was damaged in the course of this incident."
The spokesperson added: "Investigations are ongoing."
