Success for Kildare students in mini scientist competition

Lara Hannon, Victoria Reilly and Kate Healy competed in the Grand Final of the Intel Mini Scientist Competition

There was great news in Scoil an Linbh Íosa in Prosperous recently.
Lara Hannon, Victoria Reilly and Kate Healy competed in the Grand Final of the Intel Mini Scientist Competition in Blanchardstown recently. 
They won in their category of Sustainability.
The school said that the students are the first winners at this level in the school.
The school added: "Congratulations on an amazing achievement! We are so proud of you all."
The school also recently celebrated Neurodiversity Awareness/Acceptance Day.
The Student Council led an assembly and shared information on Neurodiversity with the whole school.
 
The ADHD Friendly School flag was raised and is flying high at the front of the school. 
Meanwhile the 6th class had a visit from a number of emergency services today including the Gardaí and the Civil Defence team.
The students learned about what is involved in the various jobs and even got to try on the Garda uniform, use the baton and preform a “rescue” mission.
