A number of cigarettes and vapes were stolen from a North Kildare service station by burglars last week.
Details of the incident were discussed by Garda Christopher Fallon from Leixlip Garda Station when he appeared on KFM yesterday (May 7 last).
He told host Eoin Beatty that on Friday, May 2 last, three males broke into Browne's Service Station in Kilcock and fled the scene after stealing cigarettes and vapes.
According to Gda Fallon, the perpetrators specifically fled the scene in a red Toyota vehicle with a partial registration plate — "12-WX".
"The vehicle was later found in Boycetown," he added.
Gda Fallon further said that while the items were recovered, the culprits have not yet been apprehended, and as a result, he urged anyone with information about the incident to contact Leixlip Garda Station on 01 666 7800.
When asked by the Leinster Leader about this particular crime, a garda spokesperson responded: "Gardaí received a report of an incident of burglary that occurred at approximately 12.35am on May 2, 2025 on Church Street in Kilcock, County Kildare.
"A number of goods were taken from the premises during this incident."
They concluded: "Investigations are ongoing."
