A number of smartphones were stolen from a phone shop located in Newbridge following a break-in.

Discussing the incident on KFM earlier today (April 23) was Garda Brian Carroll of Newbridge Garda Station.

According to Gda Carroll, the incident took place at the Three store located on Edward Street in Newbridge.

Specifically, the crime took place at approximately 4.30am on Saturday, April 19 last.

He explained that nearby CCTV showed two males breaking into the premises via the front door, and the alarm subsequently going off.

Gda Carroll added that they managed to steal four different phones in the process, which are worth a combined total of around €4,000.

The makes of the stolen phones are listed as follows: a Doro 8200, a Google Pixel 9A, an Honor Magic 6 lite and an Honor X6B.

He concluded by calling on anyone with information about the incident, as well as anyone who may have been offered one of the aforementioned phones for purchase, to contact Newbridge Garda Station on 045 431 212.

When asked by the Leinster Leader about the crime, a garda spokesperson responded: "Gardaí are investigating a burglary that occurred on Saturday, April 19, 2025 in Newbridge, County Kildare at approximately 4am.

"A number of items were taken.

"No arrests have been made."

They concluded: "Investigations are ongoing."
