Intoxicated man came to the Kildare home of his ex-girlfriend's parents banging on door

An intoxicated man came to the family home of his ex girlfriend and made a threat, it was alleged at Naas District Court.

The young woman told Judge Desmond Zaidan that they are broken up and she sought the protection of the court.

She said the dwelling he came to is her parents address and she has younger siblings living there.

She claimed that the man, who was not present at the hearing or represented, was banging on the door.

“I do not talk to him,” she said.

Judge Desmond Zaidan commented that the situation could have been a lot worse and he told her she is fortunate she does not have any children with the man. He added she should learn from the incident.

He comments that the case is not an emergency situation but he nevertheless granted an interim protection order and adjourned the matter to July 28.
