Great news for GAA club in Kildare as €700k extension gets green light

Rathcoffey GAA Club has been granted planning permission for new facilities at its clubhouse in north Kildare.

The single storey extension to the rear of the existing clubhouse will provide for four changing rooms.

Also in the plans is a a referee's changing room.

Showering facilities, ladies and gents toilets and a 44 square metre covered outdoor area are included. 

The existing two changing rooms are to be converted to store rooms.

The development also includes for provision of an additional 12 car parking spaces.

The estimated construction value of the project is over €700,000.

Carbury GAA is celebrating 100 years this year and there are are many events planned throughout 2025.

The 100 Celebration starts on Saturday, 15 February with a walk up to Carbury Castle from the village at 5pm. All teams, mentors, parents, Club members and all in the wider community, including friends/family from Carbury who are residing in nearby communities, are invited to join in.
