It's taking about four weeks to repair a public light in Kildare

The average length of time from between the reporting of  faulty light to a repair or replacement is four weeks.

Naas mayor Fintan Brett asked about the time lapse at a Naas Municipal District committee meeting.

He was also told however that where ESB attendance is required, the length of time may be extended beyond that.

It was also pointed out that due to recent storm events there was limited access to the ESB for these works. KCC’s maintenance contractor has been asked to increase the number of electricians available so that the repair turnaround timelines can be reduced.
