Naas gardaí have arrested a driver who attempted to avoid a garda checkpoint by driving on the wrong side of the road.
Gardaí carried out a checkpoint on the R445 recently, according to a statement posted on the GardaTraffic X(formerly Twitter) account.
"One car turned away from the checkpoint and drove down the wrong side of the road to avoid gardaí," it read.
The driver who was a learner was stopped and arrested for dangerous driving.
