WIN : A Huawei P30 Pro and a dream trip anywhere in the world in the Huawei Creatives competition

WIN : A Huawei P30 Pro and a dream trip anywhere in the world in the Huawei Creatives competition

It’s official, the new Huawei P30 Pro is the first smartphone to break camera rating records in the world and here’s why that is simply glorious news.

In celebration of Huawei's latest flagship device (and all of its incredible specs!), the global tech leader wants to encourage Irish creatives to, once again, show off their very best skills and talents using Huawei's market leading cameras, by Leica.

Now in its fourth year, the Huawei Creatives competition aims to take the lead in championing the very best of Irish innovation, creativity and talent across the country.

The overall winner of the Huawei Creatives Competition, plus the winner of each category will receive the Huawei P30 Pro, which was released in March and was officially rated by DXO as the best camera in the smartphone market.

The overall winner will also win a trip to anywhere they want in the world too! Yep, the lucky duck (and their plus one) will win flights and accommodation to a destination of their choice, ensuring a dream trip testing out the brand new premium device as they go.

Freddy Kelly is the judge and ambassador for the Water category in the Huawei Creatives. Freddy is known on Instagram as @rawdublin and his feed gives you a stunning view into everyday life in Dublin. Part of this are his incredible ‘puddle shots’ which provide an artistic and unique way to look at Dublin. Photography for Freddy was initially just a hobby but it then became “So much more than that.”

Inspiration can hit Freddy at any moment and this is why he loves having his Huawei by his side, “I love that my Huawei gives me a pro level camera straight out of my pocket and access to professional setting controls in seconds. It means I don't always have to carry my professional camera because I trust my Huawei to do the job more than capably.”

Water is just one of 20 categories you can enter into this year’s Huawei Creatives. Other categories include: Fashion, Travel, Dublin, People, Ireland, Nature, Portrait, Action, Food, Music, Abstract, Macro, Night, Street, Community, Monochrome, Pets, Cityscapes and Architecture!

Seeing that I live in Blanchardstown almost all of my life, I thought it was about time I shared a shot from the shopping centre. Shot on the @huaweimobileie Mate 20 Pro using the wide angle setting. Also straight from the camera too. No edit or filter. What a day out there. Sending some love to each and everyone of you who are here supporting me every day. Go enjoy that evening sun . . . . . #rawdublin #lovindublin #communityfirst #wonderful_places #wonderfulworld #lovedublin #architecture #ireland #dublin #discoverireland #europe #architecture #instaireland #theprettycities #lonelyplanet #topirelandphoto #HuaweiMate20Pro #amazingplaces #passionpassport #blanchardstownshoppingcentre #sony #spring #glasshouse #travelandleisure #travellingthroughtheworld #PassionPassport #beautifuldestinations #world #earthfocus

It's not perfect but I enjoyed the process as it wasn't straight forward. The first shot I took was too bright and I then worked back to get the best exposure. So this is how I did it. I set my phone to pro mode to give me more control. Then I set my timer on the phone to 5 seconds. After this I switched my phone to the wide angle setting, made sure the focus point was on the ceiling, hit the shutter which started the countdown from 5 seconds, placed the phone face down on the ground and walked away counting from five to one in my head knowing that the shutter would capture the shot after this time. Yes I did this 5 times. Honestly, doing it was repetitive, but I wanted the shot. At the time the building was busy and I only had a few seconds to get it right. Have a awesome day guys ❤️ . . . . . #rawdublin #lovindublin #communityfirst #wonderful_places #wonderfulworld #lovedublin #architecture #ireland #dublin #discoverireland #europe #wonderfuldestinations #instaireland #theprettycities #lonelyplanet #topirelandphoto #HuaweiMate20Pro #huaweiireland #cityhall
