Two Kildare riders have made the shortlist of riders that has been announced for the eventing team that will compete at the Olympic Games in London later this year, writes Paula Campbell.
Aoife Clark from Naas, will ride Master Crusoe while Camilla Speirs from Athy, will ride Portersize Just a Jiff, should they get the final call up. .
TEAM Ireland Equestrian’s Eventing High Performance Manager, Ginny Elliot, has named a shortlist of ten riders and 11 horses for Olympic selection.
At present Ireland is assured of a team of at least three riders at the Games, but this could increase to four or five on June 17, depending on whether other countries who secured places have sufficient eligible combinations to take up the places.
