Newbridge AC’s Rose Anne Galligan, the current the 800m outdoor record holder, has been selected to compete for Ireland at the upcoming World Indoor Championships in Sopot, Poland from March 7 to March 9.
Galligan had a season’s best of 2:03.69 which she set when competing in Reykavik, Iceland in January, The Kildare athlete has a personal best of 2:02.84 which she set at the European Indoor Championships and if she has a trouble free run she could set a new Irish record for the indoor 800m.
