The driver was apprehended by Naas Roads Policing Unit

Naas Roads Policing Unit (#NaasRPU) stopped and seized a vehicle recently after it was found to have no insurance, no tax and no NCT – and the driver was using a fake driving licence.

The driver's vehicle was promptly seized, and they will now face fines, penalty points, and a mandatory court appearance.

A garda spokesperson said of the offence: “No Insurance. No Tax. No NCT. Fake Licence. Four things that should never be on the same road.

“If you drive uninsured, you risk a vehicle seizure, prosecution and disqualification.

A fake licence won’t fool Gardaí. Neither will excuses.

“Get legal. Get insured. Get tested. Or don’t drive. #NaasRPU #RoadSafety #VehicleSeized #NoInsurance #FakeLicence”
