Kildare court: Man asked teen for oral sex — alleged

Further details have been given relating to a case where a man enticed a teenager to touch him in a sexual manner over the social media app Snapchat.

In his latest court appearance on Thursday, January 5, the defendant, who cannot be identified at present in order to protect the identity of the alleged injured party, was accused of enticing the teenage girl to perform oral sex on him.

The court was previously told that there was a familial link between the man and the girl.

The defendant pleaded not guilty to the allegations, although Judge Desmond Zaidan said that he 'would have refused jurisdiction anyway', citing the serious nature of the allegations.

Judge Zaidan granted bail for the man until the case returns to court in April, where a book of evidence is due to be served on the man.

He also added an additional provision to his bail conditions: that the man cannot go near the school that the alleged teenager attends.
