Kildare Gardaí are investigating a car-jacking incident at a service station in Derrinturn.
The incident happened at the Applegreen premises in the village at around 5pm on Sunday, December 18.
It's understood the driver of "a 222 KE 1576" registered Renault Captur was inside the Centra shop paying for fuel when the vehicle was taken.
The vehicle was driven in the direction of Allenwood.
A Garda Press Office statement didn't identify the service station but said: "Gardaí are investigating the theft of a car from a service station in Derrinturn Co. Kildare on Sunday 18th December 2022.
"An individual approached the stationary car and threatened its occupant to leave the vehicle.
"The suspect then fled the scene in the vehicle.
"No injuries have been reported at this time.
"Investigations are ongoing."
