A total of 37 dwellings, in addition to 24 new apartments, have been proposed for a site in Rathangan, planning permission documents show.
Applicant Raymond Conlan is seeking permission from Kildare County Council for a development at Bridge Street, Rathangan.
The proposed development would consist of site clearance works comprising of removal of buildings/substructure of buildings from previous site usage and removal of vegetation and overgrowth.
After this, 24 apartment units, would be constructed, comprising of: six Type A1 ground floor one-Bed apartments, six Type A2 ground floor one-Bed apartments, six Type B1 2-storey two-Bed duplex apartments, six Type B2 2-storey two-Bed duplex apartments.
The 37 dwellings would comprise of: six Type C1 two-storey three-Bed end terrace dwellings, 13 Type C2 two-storey three-Bed mid terrace dwellings, six No. Type C3 two-storey three-Bed end terrace dwellings, four Type C4 2-storey three-Bed end terrace dwellings, and eight Type D1 2-storey two-Bed mid terrace dwellings.
The documents also note that the site contains two protected structures: B17-36 and B17-43.
Alterations, additions and refurbishment works would be performed on a protected structure B17-36 to provide ground floor coffee shop c/w basement level toilets, staff room, store and plant room.
First floor guest accommodation would consist of four en-suite bedrooms.
In addition, alterations and refurbishment works to protected structure B17-43, which would provide creche facility consisting of ground floor office, reception, three classrooms, toilets, ancillary services and first floor two classrooms, staff room, store, toilets and ancillary services, have been proposed.
Consent for reinstatement of former canal wharf and access roads, paths, landscaping, foul and surface water sewers to connect to existing public sewers and all associated site works have also been proposed by the applicant.
The date received is listed as November 23 last, while the submission-by and due dates are listed as December 27 and January 26 respectively.
