A second water outage has been announced for Newbridge by Kildare County Council (KCC).
It follows after KCC announced earlier today that a temporary water outage will take place in both Newbridge and Athgarvan tomorrow.
KCC said in its latest statement that Irish Water will be carrying out major essential works in the town.
As a result, the water supply to the following areas will be disrupted from 10pm on Thursday, December 1, until approximately 6am on Friday, December 2: from Crossroads of Green Road/Langton Road, including Moore Park and Ave, all business and properties on Edward Street, all of Main Street as far as the Liffey Bridge, Piercetown, Dara Park, Pairc Mhuire, Station Road, College Park, The Grange, Newbridge Industrial Estate and all properties and business from Dunnes Stores as far as Liffey Bridge.
KCC also said that it may take a number of hours for the water pressure to resume to normal levels and customers may experience discolouration in their supply for a number of hours following the works.
"Crews will endeavour to flush the lines throughout the day to ensure minimum disruption to the supply," KCC added.
