The Lakeside Park/Highfield/Dara Park (LHD) area has been prone to flooding over the years.
Video footage showing heavy flooding in the Lakeside Park, Highfield and Dara Park (LHD) areas has been documented by a concerned resident.
Angela Ní Fhicnáigh sent the video to the Leinster Leader, which shows her traversing a large, flooded area located near the Newbridge Family Resource Centre (NFRC).
She said the area has become worse following heavy rainfall, particularly after Halloween and the rainfall on Sunday last.
In the videos, Ms Ní Fhicnáigh can be seen walking on the floodplain, with water completely swallowing up her feet.
"Do you think this is OK? Are you OK with this?" she said in the video: "You wouldn't put your dog's house on this.
"People's homes are nearby here, and they are at risk for flooding."
Ms Ní Fhicnáigh also claimed that residents fear a repeat of an incident in 2016, when mass flooding severely affected the area.
"We are (afraid) that we will be flooded out, 100 per cent," she added.
Furthermore, the LHD resident claimed that Minister Roderic O' Gorman and the government didn't 'do their homework', in relation to the site being proposed as a potential site for modular homes to house displaced Ukrainians, and concludes her video by appealing to local councillors and TDs to view the site.
In addition to the video, Ms Ní Fhicnáigh also supplied a photograph to the Leader showing another resident's flooded back-garden in Dara Park.
