As part of the continuing roadworks on the M7 Naas-Newbridge upgrade, the M7 Eastbound carriageway, between
Junction 12 (Newbridge) and Junction 11 (M9 /M7 Merge), will be closed from 9.30pm on Saturday through to 9am on Sunday morning, 15 September.

The closures were originally advertised for both Friday/Saturday and Saturday/Sunday, but only the Saturday/Sunday closure is now going ahead.
Kildare County Council said traffic will be diverted from the M7 Eastbound at Junction 12 (Newbridge) and then directed across the M7 overbridge onto the R413 towards Kilcullen. Traffic will head past the Curragh, turning right at Kilcullen onto the R448 to join the M9 Northbound carriageway at Junction 2, then rejoin the M7 Eastbound at Junction 11.
"This closure and diversion are necessary to carry out essential surfacing works as part of the M7 upgrade. Motorists may experience some delays due to this closure and diversion and should make allowances when planning their journey. An Garda Síochána will be in attendance during the closure to assist in maintaining traffic flows at certain locations," said a spokesperson.
