Two Kildare students among Texaco Art Competition winners

Now in its 65th year, the Texaco Children’s Art Competition is the longest running arts sponsorship in Ireland.

Two Kildare students have won top prizes in this year’s 65th Texaco Children’s Art Competition.

Both winners of Special Merit Awards, they are Tara Neville Moynihan (15), from Coláiste Chiaráin, Leixlip, for her work entitled 'Green Jumper', and Tadhg Keatley (8), from Robertstown National School, Robertstown, for his work entitled 'Hoot'.

Organisers say that prizes will be presented at an awards ceremony next month when all of the 126 top prize-winners will be in attendance.
