Brand new cafe to open in Rathangan today

A wide selection of coffees

A brand new cafe is to open it's doors today in Rathangan.

Ma's Kitchen, named in memory of Patricia Donohoe who passed away five years ago, will open its doors at 2pm.

Owned by the Donohoe and Cross families, it will be run by barista Conleth Dunne with the assistance of Mick Cross. Rathangan Sisters of Mercy, Sr Bernadette and Sr Rosarii will rofficially open the new business. Local politicians, Dep Fiona O'Loughlin and Cllr Mark Stafford will also be in attendance.

Originally from Prosperous, Conleth has vast experience in the business and previously worked in cafes in Dublin and Naas. Both himself and Mick are also talented musicians and have traveled the world with the Bunoscionn band.

Located beside NC and JO'B Photography Studio, the new cafe will serve a variety of specialty coffees and teas. With the Two Spots coffee brand, customers will be spoiled for choice with a full range of coffees including Americanos, Cappuccinos, Espressos, Flat White, Macchiato, Mocha, Hot Chocolate, Chai Latte and babyccinos.

There will be a variety of hot snacks, soups, sandwiches, all day breakfast and home baked goods and tasty treats. Ma's Kitchen will also provide takeaways.

The owners said: "We are delighted. It's taken a lot of hard work to get it opened. It will give a great boost to the centre of the town and we are hoping people will support it."
