Show cast Emma Hoctor, Aimee Behan Holloway, Róisin Mc Namee, Niamh Ryan and Sarah Fleming

Students and teachers at St Mary’s College are busy preparing for the presentation of their latest musical Legally Blonde.

It will run from March 6 to March 8 inclusive at the Sallins Road school. Curtains up at 8pm nightly.

The show tells the story of Elle Woods, a sorority (a school group consisting of girls only) girl who enrols at Harvard Law School.

Her intention is to win back her boyfriend Warner.

She discovers how her knowledge of the law can help others, and successfully defends exercise queen Brooke Wyndham in a murder trial. Throughout the show, no one has faith in Elle , but she manages to surprise them when she defies expectations while staying true to herself.

The musical is part of the school’s transition year programme and all transition year students take part either on stage, as part of the props, working with costumes or on the front of house teams.

Tickets are now available from the school at lunchtimes only or on the door on the night. As previous shows have sold out in advance the advice is to buy early.

Tickets are priced at €12 for an adult, €8 for students and senior citizens.
