Countdown to this Sunday's Rathangan 'Run for Rosie'

Rosie Dowling, who died from SAD last year

A Run for Rosie in memory of the hugely popular Rosie Dowling takes place this Sunday, February 24 at Rathangan Community Centre from 12am to 2pm.

People can register on popupraces.ie until 1pm on Friday, or on the day from 11am to 1pm for €20 (U16s - €5).

The Dowling Family are hosting this family fun run to mark the first anniverary of Rosie’s death due to Sudden Adult Death Syndrome (SADS).

“We want to raise much needed funds for the Family Screening Clinic at The Mater Hospital and raise awareness for a cause that we hold very close to our hearts. All your support is greatly appreciated,” said the family.

There will be a 3km buggy push as well as a 5km and 10km run. Family entertainment such as face painting, tea/coffee and refreshments will be available.

Brian and his sister Michelle recently talked to Ray Darcy about their wonderful mother Rosie and the run on Sunday February 24. Listen to the interview on Radio One by clicking here
